It appears that Ubisoft’s open-world snowboarding game will no longer be coming to Nintendo’s hybrid console. According to a tweet from the official Steep Twitter account, the game will no longer be coming to Nintendo Switch, citing the desire to “focus on new live content and challenges” for the game on its current platforms.
Hey @RJISAGAMER! We are wholly dedicated to supporting the live game, and made the decision to stop Steep development on the Nintendo Switch platform to focus on bringing new live content and challenges to Steep players instead. We’ll have more exciting news to share soon.

Originally announced for Switch during the console’s reveal showcase back in January 2017, Steep was meant to headline Ubisoft’s Switch game lineup, but evidently those dreams have been dashed. Why no official statement has come from Ubisoft on this is rather baffling, but we seem to have our confirmation after months of silence.
One interesting thing to note is, as of this writing, the game’s eShop page is still live, but I suspect it will be taken down in due time.
