After two delays and after several months of radio silence, Bandai Namco has finally announced a new release date for Dark Souls Remastered on Nintendo Switch. The game will now be releasing in fall on October 19, 2018. Bandai Namco announced the new release date via its official Twitter account. The GameStop-exclusive Solaire of Astora amiibo will launch alongside the game that same day.

The announcement comes after the Switch version, originally slated for May 25, 2018, was pushed into a “Summer 2018” release window, which was the last time we had any official word on the title. Now that we have an October 19 release date, suspicions about the game being delayed again appear true, though it is good we finally have an official date. Hopefully the game is polished and runs well enough on Switch that this extra development time was well worth the wait.
