The juggernaut of open-world RPGs has praised one of Nintendo’s latest. According to a recent editorial by Glixel, Todd Howard had positive things to say about Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Here’s what Howard had to say, in part, on Skyrim‘s success and how Breath of the Wild builds upon its formula:
“I don’t know yet if it’s a blessing or a curse that some things we do have become cemented in the gaming vernacular. I’ll see games that seem to borrow from [Skyrim], but it’s surface stuff. I like to design for flow. Skyrim has a certain flow – it’s almost relaxing, comforting, when you zone in. [Breath of the Wild] has that. Actually, Zelda does it so much better. That’s a brilliant game.”

It’s always great to see other developers and companies praising each other for well-deserved successes. What do you think of Todd Howard’s praise of Zelda? Let us know by leaving a reply!
