Want more Switch games? Well, they’re coming! Nintendo of America posted a tweet this morning announcing a new Nindies Showcase video which will run this Wednesday, August 30 at 10am PT / 1pm EST. No other information is known on the presentation, but I’m hoping we’ll get some long-awaited updates (maybe even release dates) for some previously announced Switch titles.
The last Nindies Showcase took place in late February earlier this year, just before the launch of Nintendo Switch, and it showcased many great games—some of which are out now, and others that we’re still waiting on. Some titles from the last showcase to keep an eye out for would be:
- SteamWorld Dig 2
- Yooka-Laylee
- The Escapists 2
- Dandara
- Kingdom: Two Crowns
- Runner3
- Flipping Death
- Shakedown: Hawaii
- Pocket Rumble
- WarGroove
- Stardew Valley
Additionally, other titles announced since the last Nindies presentation to look out for include:
- Nine Parchments
- Rocket League
- Brawlout
- RiME
- Battle Chasers: Nightwar
- Morphite
- Anew: The Distant Light
We recently received an update on several titles, including Pocket Rumble, WarGroove, and Stardew Valley, so those may not be included—one would think Chucklefish would have saved those updates for the Nindie Showcase if they were to be included. At any rate, I think it’s safe to expect updates on some of these titles as well as a few new game announcements.
