Mario’s going on tour! Nintendo has announced that Mario will be touring the U.S. in a “real-life odyssey,” spanning several major U.S. cities. The tour will feature a Super Mario Odyssey-themed trailer, an giant inflatable Cappy, and give fans the opportunity to meet Mario and Cappy themselves and try out Super Mario Odyssey on Nintendo Switch before the game releases worldwide on October 27.
Here’s what Nintendo of America President and COO, Reggie Fils-Aimé, had to say on the tour:
“Super Mario Odyssey is all about travel, exploration and that feeling you get when you discover something new and exciting. Mario’s interactive journey in the real world is a great way for fans to get excited for the game’s launch by getting hands-on time, as well as following Mario as he explores and discovers locations all across the country.”

I think this sort of publicity is awesome for the next Mario title, though I do wish some other cities and locations were represented on the tour (no Florida dates?!). Still, the tour looks like a ton of fun for families and Nintendo fans alike.
