And the third parties keep coming! In an announcement post on its website, Rockstar Games has revealed that its 2011 acclaimed hit L.A. Noire is coming to Nintendo Switch on November 14, 2017. The game is also being re-released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and HTC Vive.
The Nintendo Switch version of L.A. Noire will feature the full original game as well as all DLC, Joy-Con support (with gesture controls), HD Rumble, new camera angles, and touch controls. The PS4 and Xbox One versions will run at 4K and include updated textures, lighting, and camera angles.
L.A. Noire follows the story of veteran and detective Cole Phelps as he investigates cases, inspired by true crimes, in 1940s Los Angeles. The game originally released in 2011 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and has a lifetime sales of 2.72 million copies.
To me, getting a Rockstar game on Switch is a great sign of more third-party support, and hopefully it’ll do well and tell other publishers we want more third party games on Switch.
