Today, Madrid-based publisher Badland Games announced that their point-and-click, dystopian adventure game, Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today, is coming to Nintendo Switch. The game originally released back in 2015 on Steam, PlayStation 4, Android, and iOS.
The game follows Michael, a man with virtually no past, as he recovers his identity and uncover the events which brought the world to near collapse: the “Great Wave,” a chain of inexplicable natural disasters, and an epidemic which turned people into creatures called “the Dissolved.” Michael must race against the clock to solve the mystery before time itself begins to dissolve.
Here’s what producer and PR manager at Fictiorama Studios, the game’s developer, had to say:
“We want adventure fans to experience a terrifying future brought forth by a series of world-ending cataclysms in Dead Synchronicity. They[‘d] better be prepared for an intense, unnerving experience that explores primal fears, lawlessness, and the depths of human nature.”
Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today features 2D, German expressionist art, a mature storyline, and puzzle mechanics to play through. The game also features free-roaming gameplay, and audio is available in both English and German voiceovers.
While I’m generally not a fan of point-and-click adventures, this title sure looks intriguing. Moreover, it’s nice to see the Switch’s library get some more mature content, with this among the likes of the forthcoming Doom and Wolfenstein II Switch ports.
