Attention, Netflix bingers! The Castlevania animated series is now out on Netflix. I won’t spoil anything, but it’s absolutely spectacular.
Surprisingly, the first season consists of only four episodes with each episode airing around 25 minutes long. This is rather light, but I imagine the Netflix and Frederator Studios wanted to see how their new show would fare before really investing in more episodes. In fact, according to ComingSoon.net, Netflix has already ordered a renewal for season two, along with an increase from this season’s four episodes to eight.
It’s worth mentioning that the Castlevania series is not for the faint of heart. I’ve only finished the first episode, and it’s rather gruesome in places. Take this as a warning if you think this may be a family-friendly show.
