‘Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap’ Launches Today on Nintendo Switch

Today’s the day! Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap launches day on the Nintendo Switch eShop (as well as on Xbox One and PS4). The game is a remake of the 1989 action platformer Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap, originally on Sega Master System.

Cursed into a half-lizard, half-human being by the Meka-Dragon, the player character finds himself in search of a cure via a magical artifact. The remake features fully hand-drawn characters and animations, a re-orchestrated soundtrack, contains three difficulty levels, allows you to play as the titular Wonder Boy or as Wonder Girl, and much more. There is also a function called “Retro Feature,” where players can switch between the remade, modern graphics and sound and the original 8-bit audio and graphics on the fly.
